David Kemp is a well respected
tennis coach in his own right who has achieved much in this
field. He has developed the tennis careers of several players
who themselves have achieved considerable success at this challenging
game.
He firmly believes that sport should be enjoyed at
all levels.
Highlights of David's Coaching
for Competition Play
Many of David's pupils have become Junior or Senior
County players and some have played at Regional or International
levels. At the highest levels a few have played at Wimbledon or
represented their counties in Davis or Federation Cups. Over the
years David's Pupils have included:
His full time professional coaching career started
at Millfield School and for many years was their head coach. He
became a tutor at the LTA's Training of Coaches Scheme and also
a County, Regional and National Coach aka the Development Officer. David
has managed Junior and Senior international teams and organised
and tutored inaugural Coach's Certificates for Zambia and Malta
Sports Councils. He then established his

the umbrella of David Kemp Tennis with the logo
DKT. He developed a form of teaching which he considers is the
best method of learning tennis; from the back, middle, and front
of the court. The catalyst for this method of teaching is a game
he created called Dakete.
