It is normal to try get your rackets evenly balanced how you like
to play with them, generally. That is normally why people add weights
for - no two rackets are the same and they need to balance it out
how they like it. So your doing the right thing there
It has been known in the past that players add weight to the head
of the racket and take them off for receiving.
The weight is generally put on the head so it swings quicker.
A great player by the name of Pancho
Gonzales used to do this. He
served with a head heavier racket than he received. He used to take
the weight off not during the rally but after his service game he played
his return game without the extra weight in the head.
So you have something that has been used before,
although they didn't
quite describe it in such detail which is why i say you sound like
an engineer.
As long as it helps you, as long as your mind is better for playing
the game when you do these things then is nothing wrong with this...
and you'll excuses me if i say it... rather fussy attitude towards
weights.
Best of luck with your tennis and i hope this benefits you one way
or another.
