Continental Grip....The Position of Fatty Part Below Thumb?

In Summary My Comments/Suggestions are:

  • It's quite complicated the way you've described
  • It sounds very much as if you're holding the racket with a slight forehand grip, not the continental that you want
  • If you had the correct continental grip - the fatty bit would be right on top of the bevel. I suggest that you might be hitting flatter on certain shots because you have a slight forehand grip which you wouldn't have if the fatty part was right on top of the bevel.
  • Try it and see what happens.
