A History of Dakete and its Founders

Since its conception the spreading of Dakete has relied on the enthusiasm of individuals who wish to enjoy the game with others. The network of people that are connected with David Kemp Tennis is a rich array of talented individuals who are experts in their various subjects. We have compiled short biographies of these people which can be accessed by clicking on hyper linked names in the following passage.

 
       

In 1988 David Kemp invented the Dakete Game. The process that led to his creation involved many fun experiments, carried out on his two sons Jonathan Kemp and Andrew Kemp.

Since this time it has been a goal of David's to publish his own book ab5 October, 2007script: void(0)" onclick="MM_openBrWindow('../bios/michael_goater_bio.html','MichaelGoaterBio','width=500,height=300')">Michael Goater offered his help and has since become the editor of "Dakete - a fresh approach to tennis". The layout and design was undertaken by fellow Dakete enthusiast and friend Vic Mayhew. This publication is now available at our shop.

Tennis nut Tim Brennan met David in 1994 and has since won the Dakete Cha 5 October, 2007 d Dakete logos and clothing since 1999 and hopes one day to increase the range of Dakete merchandise to include specially rackets. In 2001 Tim Designed footwear that was specifically designed to play dakete - he called it the VivoBarefoot shoe which are now commercially available here.
