I can give you a wonderful example of this if you want. Do you want an example? Sure, sure, yeah. Well. We had a marvellous tennis player in England. He was the England number one player; he was also a Millfield boy. And he phoned me up one day and he said, “If I buy a ball machine for myself, do you think it can help me as a tennis player”. And I said, “Some people are quite slow. Providing you set the ball machine to achieve what you want to improve then buying a ball machine will help you a lot. But you’ve got to use your imagination. You’ve got to know where you’re slow and what you don’t do properly and things like that. And set everything according to that”. He bought himself a ball machine and he beat Pancho Gonzales down at Bournemouth – The British Hard-court Championships. And I put it down to the fact that he put down to the fact that he worked hard on a ball machine. I don’t know this ‘cause I wasn’t present. But I told him that providing he used his imagination... And I watch tennis players to see if they’re using imagination in what they’re doing. And of course you’ve got an amazing situation at the moment. Federer has the most imagination that I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen the best throughout so many years. I mean the only person anywhere near his imagination was Laver, Rod Laver. So, a ball machine, providing you use it with imagination can be a wonderful aid. Yeah. Next Part: |
